How are you?
Because I'm not okay.
It's 11:52 PM on July 4th, 2026, and I don't want to overthink this letter. It's going to be an honest rant about how I've been feeling, and it's not me trying to "dump" on you in any way, no. I think it's just a very genuine letter that would prove how much of the same lives we're all living.
Nigeria is something.
It has been one thing after another since the start of the year, and on some days, I just wonder if things will ever get better. Sometimes hope feels distant β like it's out of reach, like it's something imaginary, not something that can ever become reality. And on so many levels, it just has a way of making you feel disadvantaged simply because this is your homeland.
Sometimes I wish I knew what God is up to (because I know He's not oblivious to our suffering), but I don't, so I can only trust.
And then there's school.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm actually going to school because each lecturer has a way of making it seem as though we just pay tuition as a commitment fee to ensure that we try to pass, at all costs. So it's no longer a conversation about whether or not they do their jobs; we just have to pass so our money doesn't waste. (And trust me, I know it's not easy, but sometimes the way they behave is just not it. At all.)
On mediaβ¦
I think our generation has been presented with both a blessing and a curse in the form of technology and the advancement of social media. Between excelling academically, involving yourself in extracurricular activities like running for a post, interning to gain experience because companies don't want fresh graduates with no experience, volunteering to build your portfolio, showing up online, and trying to "position yourself" as a person of value β where do we really find the balance?
Between devotion, friendships, important relationships like family, church, finances and everything else, how do we really stay sane in this ever-chaotic world?
I could go on and on, but you get the drill. Most of us aren't okay.
And I'm not excluding myself because I know I'm not okay either. Far from it. In fact, I feel like I'm merely hanging by a thread, and my feelings are conflicted because God isn't the cause of everything I'm going through, but sometimes it's just easier to put the blame on Him, yeah? If that's you, then I'm in your shoes. Infact, our shoes fit just perfectly. π₯Ί
But if there's anything I've learned β and I'm still learning β it's that God cares about your well-being. He cares about my well-being. He cares about our well-being.
And why? It's because He's a good Father. He's not just Abba on the good days; He's the God of all comfort when we're in so much pain that our fragile hearts feel like they're breaking and we can't utter a single word.
My pastor once said that the presence of pain validates the need for God to refer to Himself as the God of ALL comfort. I'm talking loss, pain, heartbreak, betrayal, disappointment, frustration β all we really need is comfort.
But how can we receive His comfort if we don't first of all let go?
Matthew 11:28 has become one of my favourite scriptures in recent times because it says: βCome to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." That's an invitation from Jesus.
It's one thing to feel overwhelmed and be skeptical about whether or not to reach out to someone and ask for help. But Jesus doesn't leave room for guesses; instead, He invites us to come. And He doesn't just want us to come; He wants to give us rest.
So, is your heart aching, like mine?
Are you tired of each week coming and going, yet nothing good seems to be happening?
Are you tired of carrying the weight on your shoulders that is now beginning to feel like a costume β a part of you?
Jesus is inviting you, me, and all of us to simply come.
I'll be hosting my first worship gathering tagged UNBURDEN. It's a space to press pause on everything that's been happening, process with Jesus, let go of those heavy burdens, and leave lighter. We'll have conversations, worship, a session where we talk to God, and we'll learn what it truly means to find rest in Him.
Details are on the flyer.
As the convener of this gathering, I cannot emphasize how much I'm looking forward to it. I cried my eyes out about an hour ago because I was extremely overwhelmed. Adulthood is 50,000 things happening at the same time, and you're just trying to push through until you can't anymore and you just fall apart.
If this sounds like you, then it's alright. This is my official invitation to UNBURDEN with me on the 18th of July, 2026, at the University of Lagos. If you're in Lagos and you'd like to be there live, register using this link. I'm really looking forward to seeing you there. π₯Ή
And if you can't make it, here are a few things to take note of:
1. I'm considering going live on my YouTube channel that day. It's currently undecided, but to be on the safe side, I'd suggest you subscribe here and turn on notifications so you're updated as the days go by.
2. Please share this with your friends who stay in Lagos, or simply restack it so it can reach more people.
3. You can help create awareness by choosing to join the publicity team. Kindly use this link to join the group chat.
4. You can partner with me financially to bring this vision to life. We have about β¦100,000 left to raise before then. Lagos is expensive, yes. π But I'm trusting that God will come through using people. Your β¦1,000, β¦2,000, or more will go a really long way, and I'm not kidding. (Details are in the flyer below π)
5. Please put me in your prayers. Is this a God-given vision? Yes. Does that erase my fears? No. I'm just a girl choosing to obey God, but I need strength now more than ever before.
Here's the account details for partnership. Thank you so much for your generous support! π«ΆπΌπ
The comment section and my DM are open if you have anything you'd like to share β a suggestion, an idea, or anything you think can make this a success. It's my first time, so I know I won't get everything right, but I want to be as excellent as this level of life will permit me to be. π₯Ή
I pray that even on the days we find it hard to come, He helps us to come to Himself. π«
I'll write to you soon,
Glory.

"God cares about your well-being".
This line has done the work to my soul.
And to Him that keeps us. I commend you to our Lord.
We thank God for the meeting. We thank God for UNBURDEN. What a great time in God's presence.
